APPEC is online software with an app for managing equipment and documenting inspections – above all personal protective equipment (PPE) and work equipment. You record each article once, inspect it on your smartphone, tablet or PC, and keep all inspection reports in one place.
For everyone who inspects equipment regularly: fire brigades and rescue organisations, companies working at height, energy suppliers, cable cars and climbing parks, as well as inspection services and dealers who carry out inspections for their customers.
Any kind of equipment: full body harnesses, ropes, karabiners, helmets and retractable fall arresters, as well as ladders, tools or the load of a vehicle. Articles without an inspection requirement are simply kept as inventory.
No. APPEC digitises the documentation: the app shows what is due, provides the inspection questions and stores the result. The inspection itself and the decision on further use are made by the responsible person – according to the manufacturer's instructions and the regulations in your country.
The central database contains models from Petzl, Kong, Camp, Climbing Technology, Edelrid, Beal, Skylotec, Teufelberger and other manufacturers, with properties, service life, standards and inspection questions. It is extended continuously. If a model is missing, you can create it yourself.
Yes. You can create models, categories, manufacturers and inspection questions yourself – including several control intervals per model, for example a visual check and an annual inspection.
With NFC chips, QR codes or barcodes. Codes already applied by the manufacturer can be used directly. Articles without a tag can be found via search and filters.
Yes. With the multiple inspection you work through a whole folder or a selection one article after another. Articles without defects are closed in one step with the positive multiple inspection, articles that cannot be found are marked as “not found”.
Yes, by push notification and e-mail – daily, weekly, monthly or yearly. You can also add the APPEC calendar to Outlook, Google or Apple Calendar via a personal link.
Yes, up to 2,000 articles at once. The table detects duplicate serial numbers and checks all data. Rows with errors remain so that you can correct them.
As a web app in the browser on any PC, Mac and tablet, and as an app for iPhone, iPad and Android. All devices work with the same data. For NFC and RFID on a PC or iPad there are Bluetooth readers that work with any device.
Usually not. Most smartphones read NFC chips directly, and any device with a camera scans QR codes and barcodes. For PCs, iPads and chips with other frequencies we recommend Bluetooth readers: they work like a keyboard and with any device – more under NFC and RFID.
No. APPEC is a cloud system and requires an internet connection. In return, your data is up to date on every device, and if a device breaks, nothing is lost.

The price depends only on the number of articles: from €5 per month for 100 articles to €30 for 5,000 articles, larger quantities on request. Users are unlimited in every package. Billed annually, prices excl. VAT.
90 days, with up to 100 articles and all features. You don't need a credit card, and the trial ends automatically – there is nothing to cancel.
You choose a package in the settings and continue working with all your data. If you don't choose one, the account is blocked, deactivated after 5 days and permanently deleted 14 days later. We remind you by e-mail before the trial ends and at each of these steps.
As many as you like. Everyone gets their own login with permissions that match their role.
1 GB is included and is usually enough for many hundreds of photos and documents. A storage package from €10 per month is only worthwhile with a very large number of attachments.

APPEC creates reports with date, inspector, result per inspection point, photos and, if required, a signature. Which form of documentation is required in your country and sector is set by the respective regulations – if in doubt, ask your health and safety adviser or the competent authority.
