How mountain rescue uses APPEC

One account for all stations and teams

  1. Map your structure Stations, bases, response teams or depots as folders – with subfolders for rucksacks, vehicles and stores.
  2. Assign permissions per team With folder permissions every station inspects its own gear. Regional or district management sees everything.
  3. Record gear with service life Date of manufacture and purchase, first use and service life from the manufacturer database – APPEC does the maths.
  4. Scan before the exercise Scan the rucksack contents via NFC into the collection basket and inspect them together or mark them as “not found”.
  5. Document after the operation Inspection with photos and comments, if necessary straight away “in repair” or “discarded”.

FAQ

Questions from rescue organisations

Can't find your question? Check the documentation or write to us.

Can several stations share one account?

Yes. Each station gets its own folder with permissions. So every team inspects its own gear, and management has an overview of all of them.

How do we keep track of the service life of ropes and harnesses?

From the date of manufacture or purchase and the service life of the model, APPEC calculates when an item becomes “too old” and reminds you in good time. A passed inspection does not extend this period.

Does APPEC work in the field without a network?

No, APPEC requires an internet connection. Inspections are best done at the base or depot.

How do I tag my equipment?

With NFC chips, QR codes or barcodes. Codes already applied by the manufacturer can be used directly. Articles without a tag can be found via search and filters.

Try APPEC with your own equipment

Register, import models from the manufacturer database and create your first inspection – in just a few minutes. The app is easy to use, and the quick start guide helps you set it up.
